Juban’s Restaurant

Juban’s Restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in Baton Rouge and I have been there many times since I first reviewed it. I spent three nights in Baton Rouge last week, before going to Florida, and took friends to Juban's two of the three nights.

Jubin's remains a GreatRestaurant where both the food and the service continue to be outstanding. There are only a few, very special, restaurants that I will consider visiting two nights in a row, Jubin's is at the top of the list.

Joining us for dinner one night was the college age son of a friend of mine. He is attending LSU (which is in Baton Rouge for those who aren't from the South) and he graciously accepted an invitation to join us that night. He was a superb guest and truly seemed to enjoy himself. I think he was amazed at how much fun a group of "grown-ups" could have over an extended dinner.

However, the whole point of this story is that we convinced him to try the Hallelujah Crab which I discussed in my original post on Jubin's restaurant. The presentation of the crab was spectacular as ever and it was great to see the expression on the face of my friend's son when it was served. He seemed to really enjoy this delicious dish and actually had room for dessert.

Jubin's continues to be a GreatRestaurant and if you are in Baton Rouge, you should try it.

Restaurant Paradis

Restaurant Paradis continues to be a GreatRestaurant. I was back in the Rosemary, Fl area this last weekend and was able to get a reservation on a busy Saturday night. Despite the fact that they were fully booked for the evening, the service was outstanding and the food was superb. My wife and I enjoyed another wonderful dinner at what has quickly become one of our favorite GreatRestaurants.

I continue to recommend Restaurant Paradis and will be going there again the next time I am in the area.
